IBM & Cisco Team Up to Provide Customers a Converge Solution Called VersaStack.  2/29/2016

Cisco Systems and IBM have partnered on a new integrated data center solution that will enables both technology giants to grow in the converged infrastructure space. The new offering is called VersaStack and is aimed at Cloud, Big Data, ERP & Mobile deployments. This revolutionary solution combines Cisco's UCS bundled data center package with IBM's Storwize V7000 storage system.

The move comes as the demand for integrated data center systems—which bundles computing, storage, networking, management software and virtualization into a single package—grows among enterprises that are looking for ways to more easily address the rapid changes in their environments. The VersaStack solution comes into a market that continues to grow, according to IDC analysts. The analysts predict that spending on integrated systems will jump from $14.4 billion in 2016 to almost $19.4 billion in 2019, growing at an annual rate of about 32.8 percent.

The DataHub team is actively pursuing its official certification on the VersaStack platform and should be completed in March 2016. DataHub’s Dr. Mick Carroll is working closely with IBM & Cisco’s VersaStacks leadership teams to make sure we will be successful and bring great value to our customers.
